Education Activity

The Department of Applied Statistics has the fundamental program of teaching. A principal accent is done on practical applications of probabilistic-statistical methods, usage of the computing engineering and computer networks.

At the department in 2012 we developed an online program Index to test the practical knowledge and skills on any directions and disciplines. The sections on probability theory and statistics, and a section on logical problems have already been implemented within the framework of Index. More...

The senior students of the department participate in work of variety of scientific student seminars and are engaged in scientific researches in Probabilistic-Statistical Methods Laboratory at the Department of Applied Statistics. They have opportunity to attend the reports of leading domestic and foreign specialists on the meetings of interdepartment scientific seminars jointly with the departments of System Analysis and Decision Making Theory and Operation Research, other scientific seminars of cybernetics faculty and university.

The students of the department successfully use obtained knowledges for writing of final qualifying works of bachelors, diploma works of specialists, final qualifying works of master's degrees.

The best students of the department in future have an opportunity to research and have postgraduate study in the Department of Applied Statistics.
